Active-Active Server Architecture (Horizontal Scaling)
Active-Active Server Architecture (Horizontal Scaling)
Active-Active Server Architecture is now available in Dispatch Pro 8.0.1
Active-Active architecture is now generally available in Dispatch Pro 8.0.1, turning Dispatch Pro into a distributed system where multiple servers run simultaneously and stay fully synchronized. Instead of relying on a single active server with passive failover, every server can now actively handle workload, share data updates in real time, and coordinate responsibilities across the environment — backed by shared database signaling, coordinated background task ownership, and improved failover logic.
Built for large EMS, air medical, and utility organizations that need continuous uptime and the ability to scale with demand, Active-Active removes the constraints of the previous single-server model. The benefits for your team:
- High availability: eliminates single points of failure
- Horizontal scaling: add servers to handle increased load
- Real-time synchronization: consistent data across all servers
- Intelligent failover: automatic continuity when a server goes down
- Controlled background processing: prevents duplicate processing across servers
- Improved performance: distributes workload across infrastructure
Transport Emergent 3.0.0
Transport Emergent 3.0.0
Dispatch Pro Transport Emergent 3.0.0 is now generally available.
Dispatch Pro Transport Emergent 3.0.0 is a milestone release that modernizes the product from the ground up — a full brand refresh, meaningful security hardening, more accurate asset tracking, and deeper integration capabilities — without changing a single workflow your teams already know. Every screen has been refreshed with the new Dispatch Pro and Vellox Group visual identity, consistently across web, iOS, and Android, and organizations coming from FV Transport or Flight Vector will find the transition seamless, with clear "Formerly FV Technologies" language in the app.
Built for air medical, EMS, and transport organizations — and for the integration teams connecting Dispatch Pro to CAD, dispatch, and EMS platforms — 3.0.0 strengthens the foundation underneath the workflows your crews rely on every day. The benefits for your team:
- Stronger security out of the box: enhanced authentication token security, stronger login and PIN verification, more secure password reset workflows, and defense against user enumeration attacks — no action required on your part
- Better operational visibility: more accurate asset tracking across the full transport lifecycle, with tighter synchronization between transport status and asset location
- Deeper integration capabilities: external systems and integrated dispatch platforms can now signal request declines directly through the Dispatch Pro Transport API, keeping request status synchronized across every connected system automatically
- Keyboard PIN entry on the web: web users can now enter their PIN with a standard keyboard after signing in — number keys to enter, backspace to correct, Enter to submit — with on-screen keypad and touch entry still fully supported
- A modern, consistent experience: a cleaner, more polished interface across login, registration, account management, and beyond, on every platform
- Built to scale: modernized platform frameworks, improved backend and cloud infrastructure, and expanded support for branded deployments
Available now on web, iOS, and Android. As this release includes significant branding, security, and platform enhancements, we recommend validating your primary workflows and integration configurations in a non-production environment before rolling out to production. The Dispatch Pro Support team is available to help at any point during the transition.
\ JUNE UPDATES
DSP Request API Enhancements (7.2.6)
DSP Request API Enhancements (7.2.6)
Dispatch Pro 7.2.6 brings a major expansion of the Request API, giving external systems far more flexibility to keep operational data synchronized after a request is created. Integrated platforms can now make targeted, lightweight updates to existing requests without resending full payloads, including updating call types, scheduled times, pickup and drop-off locations, patient custom fields, and awarded or not-awarded status. Outbound payloads have also been enhanced with stable request identifiers, crew employee identifiers, and projected ETA and ETE data, so connected systems stay accurate in near real time. All enhancements are backward-compatible with your existing Request API integrations.
Built for integration teams and organizations connecting Dispatch Pro to transfer-center platforms, CRMs, EMRs, broker systems, and workforce or fatigue management tools, these updates reduce the manual reconciliation that slowed cross-system workflows. The benefits for your team:
- Less re-entry: external systems apply partial updates without dispatcher intervention or full resubmission
- More reliable matching: stable request and crew identifiers replace fragile name-based matching
- Real-time visibility: outbound ETA and ETE data keeps connected systems current
- Better automation: a flexible framework for multi-provider and broker workflows
- Stronger auditability: automatic request history entries and dispatcher notifications for every change
DSP External Chat API Support for Medical CAD
DSP External Chat API Support for Medical CAD
Dispatch Pro now supports authenticated Chat API endpoints, giving approved external systems a secure, supported way to send and receive request chat messages in real time. Integrated platforms such as transfer-center systems, CRMs, and operational dashboards can now post updates directly into a Dispatch Pro request conversation, load existing chat history, and optionally receive outbound webhook notifications when new messages arrive. Dispatchers continue working exactly as they do today: external updates appear inside the request chat alongside their own, with no change to the existing experience and no retraining required.
This closes the gap for organizations that previously relied on manual message relay, phone calls, duplicate entry, or unsupported integrations to stay coordinated. The benefits for your team:
- Real-time synchronization: external systems and dispatchers share one live communication history
- Less manual work: no more relaying messages between systems or duplicate data entry
- Stronger coordination: unified visibility across every connected platform
- A supported integration path: secure, authenticated APIs that reuse existing Dispatch Pro chat infrastructure
- Room to grow: an extensible foundation for future integrations and automation

\ MAY UPDATES
Dispatch Pro ↔ Ops Suite Integration
Flight requests created in Dispatch Pro can now automatically transfer into Ops Suite, eliminating duplicate data entry between CAD and operations platforms. Key updates flow back from Ops Suite into the Dispatch Pro CAD interface, and request-level chat keeps dispatchers and operations teams communicating in context. This is a significant step toward a single, connected workflow from first call to mission completion.

Back-End Performance & Stability
Major server-side improvements reduce database lock contention, improve throughput with multiple database connections per server, and speed up restart and initialization times. Advanced diagnostics are also available for teams that want deeper visibility into performance during peak periods.
US Fleet Tracking in Utility CAD
Utility & Energy CAD now supports US Fleet Tracking (USFT) as a live tracking provider. Dispatchers can monitor current device and vehicle positions directly inside Dispatch Pro, reducing the need for separate tracking screens and manual location updates.
Enhanced Fleet Manager Integration
The Fleet Manager integration now supports the modern JSON AFF telemetry feed, providing richer event data including takeoff, landing, engine state changes, and block events. Teams can also configure telemetry events to automatically update aircraft status in CAD. Legacy XML feeds remain supported.
Request Time Categories
Dispatch teams can now organize request times and notes using configurable categories, making it easier to filter timeline views, improve auditing, and reduce clutter in busy request histories.
Early Preview
Active-Active Server Architecture
We're excited to introduce Active-Active Architecture in Dispatch Pro, a major step forward in system reliability and scalability. Multiple Dispatch Pro servers can now operate simultaneously, with real-time synchronization across a shared database, intelligent failover, and the ability to scale server capacity as operational demands grow. Background processing is coordinated to prevent duplication, and centralized configuration ensures consistent system behavior across all nodes.
- This feature will be available for early preview in May and is not intended for production environments at this stage.
